Artem Pyhachev

Tutor

Born in Leningrad.

In 1998, graduated from the Vaganova Russian Ballet Academy, where he studied under V. Afanaskov. During his studies, interned at John Neumeier's ballet school in Hamburg and at the Vienna Opera ballet school. Went on tours together with other students of the Vaganova Academy.

Starting from 1998, has been starring as a principal dancer at the St-Petersburg Mussorgsky State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre L.S. Mikhailovsky Theatre).

From 2012 to present day, has been starring as a soloist at the Saint-Petersburg State Academic Leonid Yacobson Ballet Theatre.

From 2020 to present day, has been tutoring dancers at the Saint-Petersburg State Academic Leonid Yacobson Ballet Theatre.

Notable performances include La Bayadère (Solor), Don Quixote (Basilio), Le Corsaire (Conrad), Laurencia (Young Men's Duo), Paquita (solo), La Halte de Cavalerie (Pierre), Kaguyahime — The Moon Princess (Mikado), Raymonda (Jean de Brienne), La Sylphide (James), Sleeping Beauty (Prince Désiré, Bluebird), Cipollino (Count Cherry), Chopiniana, Grand pas classique, Nunc Dimittis, Pas de deux from The Venetian Carnival, Pas de deux from The Talisman, and Pas de deux from La Esmeralda.
