On March 1, the Saint-Petersburg State Academic Leonid Yacobson Ballet Theatre gave a performance at the Anton Arensky Novgorod Oblast Philharmonic, thus contributing to the 45th Russian Music Art Festival, held as part of the National Year of Culture initiative.

The revival of Aram Khachaturian's Spartacus by the Leonid Yacobson Ballet Theatre became the main event of this season. One could even go so far as to call this performance a première, as most of the dancers had to study the choreography of this legendary ballet for the first time in their lives. Some of the tutors that oversaw the rehearsals had had the honour of working with Leonid Yacobson in person; their task was to train several line-ups of the cast.

On December 20, dancers from the Leonid Yacobson Ballet Theatre will perform at the Hermitage Theatre, during a special night dedicated to the 170th anniversary of Giselle's arrival to Russia. The famous art director Vyacheslav Okunev is designing new costumes and sets especially for the event, while the rehearsals are being handled by Irina Kolpakova.

On November 2, a revived version of The Bedbug, a ballet staged by the Saint-Petersburg State Academic Leonid Yacobson Ballet Theatre, with music by Dmitri Shostakovich and choreography by Leonid Yacobson, premièred at the Alexandrinsky Theatre.
