The 2017 summer season of the St. Petersburg State Academic Leonid Yacobson Ballet Theatre features a series of performances that will delight the audiences at the most famous venues across Russia's cultural capital.
On July 8, the Leonid Yacobson Ballet Theatre, headed by Andrian Fadeev, rang in a new summer season by performing Swan Lake at the Tovstonogov Bolshoi Drama Theatre. From July 8 to September 4, our dancers will put on 54 shows at the city's most prestigious venues: the Tovstonogov Bolshoi Drama Theatre and the Mariinsky Theatre. The Theatre will present its original renditions of Pyotr Tchaikovsky's renowned classical ballets, Swan Lake and The Nutcracker. Our company will be performing both at the historical Mariinsky building and the new Mariinsky-2 venue for the third season in a row. This is not only a tremendous honour and responsibility for the keepers of Yacobson's heritage, but also a sign that both the audience and the experts of the theatre world recognize our dancers' skill level and professional technique.
