New Season: from The Queen of Spades to Onegin

The TASS press centre in St. Petersburg has just hosted a press conference on the new season at the Leonid Yacobson Ballet Theatre.

Andrian Fadeev, the troupe's art director and Honoured Artist of the Russian Federation, shared his team's ambitious plans for the 2019-2020 season. He was joined by the soloists who will be appearing in the two upcoming premières: Alla Bocharova, Honoured Artist of the Russian Federation and holder of the St. Petersburg City Council Youth Award; Andrey Sorokin, winner of several International Competitions and holder of the St. Petersburg City Council Youth Award; and Elena Chernova.

During the new season, the Theatre is planning to present two premières: The Queen of Spades and Onegin; furthermore, it will be contributing to the Theatre Olympics 2019 and the Golden Mask International Festival programme, and giving performances at two Bolshoi Theatres (in Russia and Belarus) and three Mariinsky venues (the historical venue, the Primorsky Stage, and the Vladikavkaz Theatre).
