A New Season Opens

The Leonid Yacobson Ballet Theatre is bustling again: we are getting ready to meet the public for the first time since the quarantine. The dancers are rehearsing in full compliance with the social distancing guidelines; the long-anticipated shows will take place during the latter half of September on the Imperial stage of the Alexandrinsky Theatre.
Specifically, the theatre's fifty-second season will open with the timeless masterpiece of Romanticism: the two-act Giselle ballet, choreographed by Marius Petipa, which our troupe will perform at Alexandrinsky. The production will involve the theatre's best dancers, who spent the lockdown exercising rigorously, as they are committed to remaining in excellent physical shape and not disappointing their devoted fans.
