Classics at the Mariinsky

In May, the Leonid Yacobson Ballet Theatre will go back to showing its best classical productions at the legendary Mariinsky.

Our theatre will have a show at the main Mariinsky venue at 12.00 on 7 May and 11.30 on 28 May, playing The Swan Lake, Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s most famous work, choreographed by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov. Revived in 2015, this ballet features set and costume design by the distinguished theatre artist Vyacheslav Okunev. The 7 May show will star our most prominent principals, Svetlana Svinko, Stepan Dyomin, and Denis Klimuk; while the dazzling Elena Chernova will appear in the lead role on 28 May, alongside with Lorenzo Lodi and Vyacheslav Spilchevsky, who will make his début as Siegfried.
