Classics for Europe

The Leonid Yacobson Ballet Theatre continues its successful grand tour of European cities.

Our theatre remains true to its established tradition of delighting the sophisticated European public with the Russian ballet classics after the winter holidays. Our tour began on January 4, when we went on a lengthy journey across France, allowing the theatre-goers from Aix-en-Provence, Saint Etienne, and Massy to appreciate the all-time favourites of our tour repertoire: Swan Lake and The Sleeping Beauty. And from January 17 to 19, the world-famous love story of Odette and Siegfried will enchant the people of the Swiss town of Winterthur. The next communities in line to greet the St. Petersburg ballet company, which they have already befriended during last year's tour, include the French Blagnac, Arcachon, Reims, Créteil, Neuilly-sur-Seine, Saint-Germain-en-Laye, and Noisy le Grand. Ballet fans from Longjumeau and Hyères, in turn, will see our Chopiniana, Paquita, and The Rehearsal productions. Our French tour will close on February 19, with the Swan Lake show in Garges-lès-Gonesse.
