This November, classic ballet fans are in for an unexpected threat. While the Leonid Yacobson Ballet Theatre was initially expected to see off the last month of autumn with just four shows, we have decided to expand our November playbill. The total number of shows is now 11! In addition to the ballets that we already performed during the first ten days of November, we will show the public a whole series of productions at the Alexandrinsky Theatre. Between November 13 and 30, we are going to have a real ballet marathon! All the shows taking part have one thing in common: the great ballet master Marius Petipa was directly involved in their creation. On November 13, 16, and 19, we will perform The Swan Lake at the Alexandrinsky main venue; on November 14 and 21, we will perform Giselle; and on November 20 and 30, Don Quixote. When coming to see their beloved dancers appear in cult classics, the public is kindly asked to follow all the precautions that are necessary during this difficult time.
